The release of Reptile Manual by David Ball and Don Keenan was over a decade ago, and the highly effective strategy continues to spread to new venues and areas of litigation. Defense attorneys need to be prepared to identify and combat plaintiff reptile tactics from the initiation of the case through trial. During this half-day virtual symposium, the speakers will provide:

•  An overview of the Reptile strategy and recent trends;
• A psychological explanation for the effectiveness of reptile tactics against defense witnesses;
• A tutorial on witness effectiveness training to help witnesses cope with the tactic both cognitively and emotionally;
• Tips for defending the deposition and planning for pre-trial motions;
• Methods of preparing for trial, testing defense themes, and planning trial strategy;
• Development of voir dire questions to counter plaintiff themes;
• Trial procedure and presentation including opening and closing statements; and
• An introduction to the Reverse Reptile.

The registration fee is $200.00 for SCDTAA members and $250.00 for attorneys of SCDTAA member firms.

SCDTAA will be applying for 4.5 hours of cle's.
